Provide First Aid Course Eligibility & Enrolment Information
Specifically, students need the ability to:
- Provide information to enable preparation of an incident report
- Communicate effectively and assertively in an incident
- Read and follow Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines
Physical Requirements:
Students must be able to kneel and perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor. They also must be able to perform the same on an infant manikin placed on a firm surface.
Prerequisites:
There are no formal prerequisites for the units included in this course. However, Skills Training College’s training and assessment delivery strategy requires that before the course, learners complete all pre-course learning.

How It Works

Practical Training – Once you’ve completed the theory, attend a 3-hour in-person session led by our qualified and experienced first aid trainers. During this session, you’ll demonstrate key first aid techniques such as CPR, bandaging, and emergency response management.
Throughout the practical session, NDIA trainers provide personalised support and feedback, helping you refine your skills and apply your knowledge confidently in real-life situations.
