Student Services
At the National Diversity Institute of Australia (NDIA), we are dedicated to ensuring that all students have continuous access to the resources and support services necessary to thrive throughout their academic journey. These services are introduced during the compulsory Orientation session.
Our Commitment to Your Wellbeing
We provide a range of services designed to support your mental, physical, emotional, and academic wellbeing. These services are discussed in detail during orientation and include:
Work, health, and safety (WHS) guidance
Support for transitioning into study and life in Australia
Information on accessing relevant legal and advocacy services
Guidance on personal security and safety
Procedures for handling critical incidents
Access to emergency and healthcare services
Overview of NDIA’s facilities and learning resources
Complaints, feedback, and appeals processes
Course attendance and academic progress requirements
Support for students experiencing personal difficulties that may impact their studies
Orientation
All new students must attend a mandatory Orientation session at the beginning of their course. This session introduces students to NDIA, its policies, services, and learning environment. It is also an opportunity for us to understand your specific needs and ensure you are well-prepared to study and settle into your new academic and cultural environment.
Academic Support
We encourage you to reach out to your trainer as the first point of contact for academic assistance. Your trainer is equipped to guide you and help you stay on track with your learning objectives. If you need further support, you will be referred to our Student Support Officer or Academic Coordinator.
